PLANEET

From DnB to trance and back, from nocturnal streets to outer space — Captain Planeet's journey through different artist names and musical styles has lasted what feels like thousands of light years. From his very first artist alias Drone in 1999 through projects including Whirl & Mayer, Mik Nevel, Süstem, Telec, and Headread, he has performed from cultural venues to major festivals across Estonia and beyond its borders.
In 2010, adopting the Captain Planeet persona, his debut track "Mõttemaailm" was selected as the public broadcaster Raadio 2’s Demo of the Week. The follow-up single 2 aastat unetuid öid and debut album Ajamasin propelled him even higher. At the 2012 R2 DnB Awards, he swept the board, taking home awards for Best Track, Album, Producer, and DJ of the Year. At the 2013 and 2014 R2 DnB Awards, he was crowned Producer and DJ of the Year. His second album Hüperruum won Best Electronic Music Album at the Estonian Music Awards.
His tracks have featured contributions from notable local artists including nublu, Heini Vaikmaa, Ines, Lenna, An-Marlen, and Laura Põldvere, as well as actor Mait Malmsten, among others
