Tricky

Tricky, real name Adrian Nicholas Matthews Thaws, is a trip-hop pioneer from Bristol. Renowned as one of the most innovative and influential artists of the past few decades, Tricky returns to Station Narva in 2026, eight years after his memorable performance at the festival's inaugural edition in 2018. He presents a newly conceived show for this return.

He still possesses a sound entirely his own—a blend of alternative hip-hop, ragga, rock, reconstructed samples, and slices of both the most respected Black music and the tackiest pop.

From his groundbreaking debut to his work with Massive Attack and other influential collaborations (including Beyoncé, Yoko Ono, Grace Jones, PJ Harvey, Björk), Tricky has consistently challenged convention and expanded the boundaries of contemporary music. His artistry has earned admiration across generations, with David Bowie himself counted amongst his fans, praising Tricky's singular vision and fearless creativity.
