Audiowalk Visions of Kreenholm

Narva Art Residency (NART) invites you to an environmental audio walk through the landscape of Kreenholm Manufacture.
The ambient audiowalk Visions of Kreenholm takes participants on a meditative journey through the industrial and natural surroundings of Kreenholm. Moving through the landscape with sound as a guide, participants are invited to experience the site through listening, observation, and imagination. The walk unfolds as a quiet encounter with the atmosphere of Kreenholm — its architecture, textures, echoes, and shifting presence.
Created during a residency at NART by Finnish visual artist Miia Kettunen in collaboration with Estonian sound artist Faershtein, Visions of Kreenholm offers an immersive reflection on place, memory, and environment. Through sound and movement, the work opens a space to experience Kreenholm as both a historical site and a living landscape shaped by industry, water, and time.
The walk invites participants to slow down and attune to the surrounding environment — to listen more closely, observe more carefully, and encounter Kreenholm through its unseen rhythms and resonances.
The audiowalk will take place on Saturday, 5 September at 12.00, and on Sunday, 6 September at 13.30. Each session lasts approximately one hour and can be followed in Estonian or Russian — participants may choose their preferred language.

The meeting point is by the old Kreenholm gate, opposite Joala 32 (see map).
