Opening of Ihor Tkachivskyi’s metal sculptures at Narva’s Stockholm Square

Narva Art Residency (NART) and the City of Narva invite everyone to Stockholm square to celebrate the official opening of new sculptures! For the second year in a row, the annual installation competition has brought remarkable public art to the city. This year’s winner is Ukrainian sculptor Ihor Tkachivskyi, whose metal-leaf sculpture “The Joy of Being Human” will become a new landmark in the heart of Narva.

The sculptures are installed on the site of the historic Helsinki Street. As part of the event, a local guide will lead a walking tour and share stories about the area’s fascinating past.

Artist Ihor Tkatshyvs’kyi will speak about the creation of his work and lead a welding demonstration workshop, where visitors will have the chance to try their hand at welding themselves.
