Tour of Kreenholm Manufactory: “Kreenholm: The History of a Textile Giant”

Sissepääs:

In 1857, Ludwig Knoop (1821–1894) established a cotton manufactory on Kreenholm Island, between the Narva waterfalls. It went on to shape life in the region for the next 160 years. Although the machines have long since fallen silent and the factory workers have disappeared from the production halls, and the Narva waterfalls themselves are only opened a few times a year, the impressive industrial heritage of Kreenholm’s heyday can still be experienced throughout the site. The tour also includes a visit to the large weaving hall in one of the former factory buildings.

Meeting point: At the old Kreenholm gate (Joala 32)
During the tour, you can leave your car or coach in the free car park next to the gate.

Duration: 90 min
